CONCORD REGIONAL AIRPORT CHANGES TAXIWAY CONNECTOR DESIGNATIONS AND OPENS NEW BYPASS TAXIWAY.

With the completion of our taxiway widening project, the Concord Regional Airport has made some changes to the taxiway designations and airport apron access points. Effective December 30, 2008:
New Bypass Taxiway "B" is open;
Old Taxiway "B" is now Taxiway "C";
Old Taxiway "C" is now Taxiway "D";
Old Taxiway "D" is now Taxiway "E".

NOTICE TO PILOTS FLYING TO, NEAR, OR THROUGH THE WASHINGTON DC. AREA. NEW REGULATIONS WENT INTO EFFECT FEBRUARY 2009 THAT DESIGNATE A NEW SPECIAL FLIGHT RULES AREA (formerly known as ADIZ) AND INCLUDE NEW TRAINING REQUIREMENTS.
AOPA is advising and reminding all pilots flying within 60 nautical miles of the Washington D.C. VOR that they need to have completed the FAA's Navigating the ADIZ/SFRA online course and optain a course completion certificate.
